As the sun sets on the Horizon Festival program, wind down your weekend at Secret Garden, a heartwarming way to spend the afternoon on Mother’s Day and a gentle way to close off Horizon Festival for 2026.

Set beneath the trees at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden, the bushland and birdsong provide the perfect backdrop for live music. Guests are invited to slow down, roll out a picnic rug, share food with friends and settle in for an afternoon where music, nature and good vibes take centre stage.

Secret Garden is like a big community picnic, with featured musicians intimately harmonising with the audience and the sounds of nature and for the special Mother’s Day edition of Secret Garden, music lovers have two sensational musicians to look forward to -

Pam Hata and Neish

Pam Hata is an independent solo acoustic artist residing in the mid north coast and Northern Rivers region of NSW. Touring full-time, Pam gets toes tapping and hands clapping. Enriched with her love for her Australian stomping grounds and her own vibrant Maori culture, Pam brings an energy and warmth of personality to the stage that sparks interest from the very first strum.

Neish - Image courtesy of Neish FB

Neish is an emerging singer/songwriter from Meanjin (Brisbane). After feeling as though she didn't have a voice, Neish found solace in music and rediscovered her sound through songwriting. Influenced by folk-infused alternative artists, Neish aims to captivate through her raw and vulnerable lyricism and to develop a deeper connection of emotional intimacy with her listeners. Neish writes with a purpose that encapsulates personal and relatable experiences in a way that is sadly beautiful and authentic.
