Let Minnow Cafe Clayfield

by Sally Foster (follow)
Delicious food for both parents and kids in the heart of Clayfield

Let Minnow Cafe serves up beautiful all day breakfasts and lunch in the inner northern suburb of Clayfield. Set on a leafy suburban street surrounded by stunning Queenslanders, it is extremely popular with the locals, and for good reason.

Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and coffee addict friendly Let Minnow stands on the site of the old Clayfield Aquarium. This 100-year-old house has been fully renovated into a modern food lovers dream. It is bright, fresh and welcoming and there is plenty of room for everyone.

There is a corner dedicated to your little ones where they provide colouring pencils and paper and toys. There are plenty of high chairs and room to leave your pram.

The food is locally sourced, including from the beehive and herb garden right in their backyard. Let Minnow's food is fresh, absolutely delicious and changes with the seasons so the produce is guaranteed to be top quality.

Serving up all day breakfast and lunch, some of their menu items include old-school toasties, golden gaytime waffles, sweet potato buddha bowl, truffle parmesan loaded fries and cowabunga burgers. If that doesn't tempt you, they also have a cabinet chock full of pastries, muffins and biscuits.

Feeling thirsty? Why not quench your thirst with an incredible smoothie, milkshake, cold drip coffee or cold pressed juice. You can also 'spike' your hot drink as Let Minnow serves alcohol.

For the little ones, they have an extensive menu offering up a range of healthy and fresh items that are better than the usual fare. This includes mini toasties, mini beef slider, mini spring chicken and if you are feeling generous mini choc top waffle.

They also have sip sized drinks for the kids including babyccino, milkshakes, fresh orange juice and smoothies. If anything on the kid's menu sounds good to you, ask the staff about making it into adult size!

Let Minnow opens every day of the week from 6:30am to 2:30pm. It is a great place to meet a mother's group or take your family for breakfast on a weekend. Afterwards, you can head to the nearby T.C. Beirne Park at Hendra, which is my personal favourite park to go with my toddler.

Location:57 Park Avenue, Clayfield
Opening Hours:6:30am to 2:30pm every day
Parking: Street Parking only
