From your television screens to the stage. Play School is stepping onto the floorboards with live performances across Australia to mark a milestone event in the show's long-standing career in children's entertainment and learning.
But when the wheels on the bus get stuck near Old MacDonald 2019s farm, can Humpty and his friends save the day? See the
Play School Live concert performed in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne for Humpty's Big Celebration throughout April. The show stars beloved presenters and favourite toys, Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima, Kiya and Fergus.
The Brisbane shows will be on Saturday 04 April - 2.00pm, 4.00pm and Sunday 5 April at 12.00pm, 2.00pm, 4.00pm at
Gardens Point Theatre .
Tickets are $39.00 for this fun filled 40 minute show.
In
Melbourne, the shows will be on Friday 10 April 2026 at 3:00 pm and Saturday 11 April 2026 at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm at the
Athenaeum Theatre One .
For
Perth audiences, be sure to mark Friday 17 April 2026 and 18 April 2026 with multiple showtimes and various start times at the
Octagon Theatre ,
University of Western Australia , Perth.

Pay School, and this special concert celebrates the show 2019s massive 60th anniversary of delighting children across multiple generations with songs, stories and entertainment.
The History of Play School
Since the 1960s, Aussie children have grown up watching
Play School on the
ABC , an Australian early childhood education show that originated in the UK. Six decades on, the Show continues to support children's educational development with games, stories and songs, combining fun and creativity.
Play School premiered on 18 July 1966 at 10.05am in NSW and Victoria only, but soon was broadcast around the country.
Who Has Hosted Play School?
Over its many years, a notable number of leading award-winning Australian actors and performers have stepped through the famous windows of
Play School, including Benita Collings,
John Waters , Simon Burke, Noni Hazlehurst, Lorraine Bayley and John Hamblin. Each brought their own warmth and personality to the long-running children 2019s program, helping generations of Australian children learn through songs, stories, crafts and imaginative play.
QUT Gardens Theatre is located at 2 George Street, Brisbane, in the heart of the CBD and opposite the
City Botanic Gardens . The Athenaeum Theatre is at 188 Collins Street, Melbourne. You will find the Octagon Theatre on Stirling Highway, Perth.
