Redcliffe skies will be the backdrop for the twists and turns of kites at the Redcliffe Kite Festival 2025 from 20 to 21 September 2025.



This FREE outdoor festival is one of the signature Spring events of the seaside region of Moreton Bay. The day aims to create " joyful celebration of community, connection and the sky." This year, the festival is sponsored by Vietjet



Yes, the kids will be mesmerised by the variety of kites of all shapes and sizes, but so will the adults. Here's what you can expect:

+ Enormous inflatable kites
+ Specialist displays by world-class kite flyers
+ A selection of food trucks; expect rides, carnival games, workshops and activities aimed at younger visitors, plus family-friendly stage performances and character shows throughout the weekend
+ Kids' kite flying zones and kite-making workshops


The Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena will see team displays and performances by the Redcliffe Kite Club.

As well as being loads of fun, kite flying also offers educational and developmental benefits such as gross motor skills (making big movements), peripheral awareness and hand-eye coordination. The fun part involves running, jumping and laughing, which has got to be good for everyone as well.



(Note: The kite displays are completely subject to favourable wind and safety conditions)

The Redcliffe Kite Festival will be held at Pelican Park, 101 Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf, from 10 am to 4 pm. Redcliffe is located 39 kilometres from the Brisbane Central Business District.
