Visit during the school holidays for some fun activities at the parklands

[Link https://www.facebook.com/visitRSP/ ] is only a ten minute walk from the Brisbane CBD, and is one of the world’s largest subtropical gardens in a city centre. The parklands are the perfect place to visit for a day out with your kids in a beautiful outdoor setting.



With open lawns, gorgeous gardens and a rainforest walk, there is room for everyone to lay down a picnic blanket and relax in the sunshine. There is a picturesque lake with some ducks, and a children's garden and playgrounds. There are actually two playgrounds, one is perfect for older kids and the other for younger kids.



There are lots of BBQ's if you want to have a family event and plenty of public toilets, wifi and facilities available. There are even two designated 'wet areas' where you are allowed to have a cheeky wine along with a meal.

It operates Wednesday to Friday between 10am and 12.30pm and Saturday to Sunday between 10am and 3pm.

This coming school holidays there is going to be plenty for your little people to take part in. They are free for kids aged five to 12 years. The Kids Collective activities are held from Thursday to Saturday during the school holidays from 9am to 1pm and they are free. No need to book, just turn up and join in the fun!
