The Granite Belt in Queensland's west will be bursting with fresh produce as it celebrates two of our favourite fruits at the Apple and Grape Harvest Festival 2026.
Stanthorpe is Queensland's fruit bowl when it comes to farming apples and grapes. In fact, all of the State's apples are grown in this region. It also has a significant grape-growing and wine-producing industry. And there are over 50 vineyards in the region. That makes for a lot to celebrate and raise a glass to.
The 2026 Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival features an assortment of fruity activities for all ages, including the sensory overload of a truckload of activities.
How does this sound?
- A food and wine fiesta
- Apple peeling competitions
- A grand parade
- Fireworks
- Markets in the mountains with art, photography, prints, handmade clothing, knits, plants, candles, soaps, jewellery, jams, preserves, biscuits, spices and seasonal fruit and veg
- Farm to Fork cooking demonstrations
- Buskers, live music,
- The famous
Italian long lunch, which showcases the region's culinary heritage.
The festival is held biannually, and this year is particularly special as it marks the 60th anniversary of the festival.
The festival also features a range of special experiences and ticketed events. Here's just a slice of what's on offer:
The signature event is the
Grape Crush . This ancient tradition saw winemakers stomp on the grapes with their feet. You've seen it in the movies, now try it for yourself. Stomp on the
grapes in the traditional wine to make wine and feel them squish between your toes.
