Exciting news for music lovers! The third annual Sunshine Coast Blues & Roots Festival is about to hit our shores at the end of this month. Hosted at The Shed in Palmview, this year’s event promises a high-energy celebration of live music, led by an outstanding lineup of local and visiting talent.

Crowd favourites, Hat Fitz and Cara, are two of Australia's most captivating roots music artists, who have spent more than 16 years crafting their sound, captivating audiences around the world and leaving a trail of soulful melodies wherever they go. From festival main stages to intimate venues, this husband and wife duo have released six critically acclaimed albums.

Backing this incredible pair is a dynamic programme of Sunshine Coast artists, each bringing their own flavour to the stage. Sugarbag Blonde are a Sunshine Coast blues-rock band delivering classic swagger, soulful grit and guitar-driven originals into the mix. Drawing inspiration from Gov’t Mule, Doyle Bramhall II and Gary Clark Jr., while tipping the hat to forebears like Cream, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, Sugarbag Blonde's sound blends road-worn blues tradition with modern rock power and deep groove.

The Honey Snatchers will be bringing their rockin’ blues energy, fronted by Brenton ‘Woody’ Woodman on vocals and harmonica, alongside Pat Nicholson on guitar and vocals.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Alex Kosenko is unfortunately no longer able to perform at this year's Sunshine Coast Blues & Roots Festival.

Coming to the rescue, the organisers are absolutely thrilled to welcome the amazing 8 Ball Aitken to the festival! 8 Ball Aitken has toured the world performing his blues, soul, swamp-rock and groovy slide-guitar across twenty countries to date. He’s earned a loyal fanbase from his live shows and internet videos, while paying his dues as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer.
With such a fabulous line-up set to light up The Shed at the Banana Bender Pub, music lovers are in for a memorable night of blues, roots and rock ’n’ roll. There is no time to dilly-dally, tickets are selling like hot cakes!
