Cool off and take a splash this summer while taking advantage of the discount entry fees at one of Brisbane's public swimming pools.
Anyone who has experienced summer in Brisbane knows that the increased sunshine, rising temperatures, and exhausting humidity can be stifling. So getting to the pool is one of the quickest and easiest ways to beat the heat.
In 2023/24,
Brisbane City Council introduced discounted entry fees at public swimming pools. And now the chance for a poolside splash continues.
Entry fees at Brisbane’s public swimming pools will be reduced to a flat $2 for both adults and children this summer. The price change runs from 1 December 2024 to 28 February 2025 and cuts the cost by around $4 to $5 dollars for those aged 15 and older and $2-$3 for kids. All Council pools honour the
Queensland Government Companion Card. This card allows free entry for anyone accompanying a person with a disability who requires attendant care support.
Brisbane has 22 Council pools scattered across the City, with a range of pool lengths and aquatic facilities. Fifteen of the pools have water play facilities for children. Also, check out the learn-to-swim classes and water group fitness classes. (The discount does not include discounts to specific classes, programs, and health clubs - just the entry fee).
Here are a few to add to your list:
Newmarket Swimming Pool, Newmarket
The Valley Pool
Spring Hill Bath
Ithaca Pool, Paddington;
Acacia Ridge Leisure Centre
Swimming is a cost-effective way to get fit, have fun, get some Vitamin D and beat the heat this summer. So hit the pools across Brisbane for some holiday fun and sweet savings.
