Confessions time. We have been to Tropical Fruit World a lot. I won't state the number of times as I don't want to give the impression that we are obsessed. Let's just say we are very happy with the venue and feel it has so much to offer for a full-day adventure.

Where else can you get fresh local fruit, a tractor ride, a fruit presentation, a scenic boat ride, a cafe, time with farm animals, birds watching, gorgeous beauty products from the site shop, macadamia nut crushing, fresh banana tasting, and a playgroup complete with flying fox and steam train ride? This is a lineup unmatched by any. It is even better when you consider it is currently half-price to get in and this makes the whole experience very family and budget-friendly.

Located at 29 Duranbah Road, Duranbah, NSW, which is just south of the QLD/NSW border, please keep in mind that the venue operates on NSW Daylight Savings Time. Locals receive a 50% on entry prices which end up at $26.25 per adult and $16.50 per child. The great news is that they are currently offering this price to everyone up until the 31st of March 2023. You can't miss this deal. It is a considerable saving and one you won't want to miss.

For nature lovers, the talk on the tractor ride will impress you. This is an experience steeped in years of ecological experimentation and a true connection with nature and its creatures. What they have trialled here, uncovered here, achieved here and showcased here is well worth talking about. It really goes to show you what can be achieved on an environmental level when caretakers care a whole lot! My hat goes off to everyone involved in the incredible history of the plantation. Don't forget to also grab some of their recipes to trial. Lots of fun when you arrive back home.

More than 500 fruits from all around the World are grown here on this 200-acre family farm. Your ticket includes all activities and the tour duration is approximately 2.5 hours. For tour times please check the availability, terms and conditions on the booking screen found on their website above. I should add that this is a working farm. As such it has some naturally uneven pathways and walking surfaces. Enclosed shoes are recommended. Tour participants must be able to walk short distances and board vehicles unaided. Wheelchairs and walking frames, and prams and strollers cannot be taken on board tour vehicles. If you have a bub, take the baby carrier and definitely don't forget the sunscreen. It can get incredibly hot in this part of the world.

Half an hour from the Gold Coast and an hour and twenty from Brisbane, this is a place to add to your Easter school holiday agenda.
