If you are looking to celebrate Melbourne Cup this year in Brisbane, then we have rounded up some family friendly places you can get a bit dressy, go to watch the race and maybe have a cheeky glass of bubbles. All the venues have been recommended by other Mums as being family friendly.

Here is our list of places to watch and celebrate Melbourne Cup in Brisbane this year:

1. Redland Bay Hotel

With an awesome outdoor, fully fenced playground surrounded by seating areas, the Redland Bay Hotel is hosting a Melbourne Cup Day starting at 8am. There will be a best dressed competition, live entertainment and sweeps.

2. Eat Street Northshore

The incredible Eat Street Markets at Northshore, is celeberating Melbourne Cup with live entertainment, prizes for best dressed, champagne and cocktail bars and of course, incredible street food.

3. Everton Park Hotel

Everton Park Hotel has an awesome indoor play area fully equipped with arcade games, games consoles and even a couple of small rides, as well as an outdoor playground. For Melbourne Cup, they are hosting a three course pre-paid menu package with all day sweeps, raffle prizes and much more.

4. Yeronga Services RSL

The Yeronga RSL offers family friendly dining with an on-site, indoor play area, perfect for keeping kids busy under the watchful eye of parents. For Melbourne Cup this year there will be an all you can eat seafood buffet.

5. Mango Hill Tavern

Mango Hill Tavern has a huge menu and a brilliant indoor and outdoor play area, which is fully fenced for peace of mind. For Melbourne Cup they are hosting a delicious lunch, complete with a Chambord cocktail garden.

6. Bellbowrie Tavern

The Bellbowrie Tavern prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere and have created an indoor play space, which includes a brightly coloured, tunnel playground to keep little ones entertained. For Melbourne Cup there will be a luncheon with food, fashion and of course, the race.

7. The Grand View Hotel

The Grand View Hotel offer up tasty food and there is also a small children's playground in the outdoor eating area. Based on the sand, kids can enjoy the climbing frame and slide all within the watchful eye of mum and dad. There's also a table tennis table to occupy older kids. For Melbourne Cup, there will be a range of events including one for the 'foals' which includes a playground marquee and an A La Carte menu while you watch the kids play on the playground.

8. Pineapple Hotel

The Pineapple Hotel has a relaxed family friendly atmosphere and a great playground for the kids. For Melbourne Cup there will be a three course lunch and beverage package that would be perfect for a special lunch with the girls.

Not keen on heading out to watch the race? Why not host your own party at home! You can do some craft and make your own fascinators or hat with the kids, dress up and enjoy watching from the comfort of your own home.
