The Lockyer Valley Regional Council's Christmas Carnival rolls around again on Friday December 19 2025 turning Gattons North Street into a bit of a festive circus. Expect Santa to drop by for the usual awkward photos with wide eyed kids the ham wheel where you might score some Christmas lunch or just lose your dignity and some roving characters dressed as elves or whatever to keep things lively. Theres even real life reindeer up for snaps which feels like a stretch in Queensland but hey theyre trucking them in.

Kids can burn off that pre Christmas sugar rush on a massive inflatable playground while the adults wander the Christmas markets and take in the colourful displays thatll make you feel vaguely holly jolly without trying too hard. Its all happening right there in North Street Gatton just a short drive from Brisbane.
