I love indoor play centres. They're the perfect activity for those days when you're feeling extra exhausted and just want to sit down with a coffee, and not have to play with Lego or entertain a conversation, but at the same time, your little one is tricked into thinking that you have brought them to this magical place for their benefit.

And they can run riot, burn off all their energy and ultimately be in bed early. Win/win.


Lollipops Playland in Cannon Hill is an indoor soft play centre perfect for children of all ages. There's not only plenty to see and do for the kids, but there's also a large cafe and seating area for parents to take five in, and with Lollipops 'unique wristband' security procedure, you can rest easy that your kids are safe and well within view the whole time.

Play
Lollipops is home to a large two storey play area, full of obstacles, tunnel slides, ball pits, wobble bridges, climbing areas and an awesome soft ball shooting arena that my little one spent a good half hour in.


As well as the soft play area, there is also a small jumping castle, playstation corner, claw machines and mechanical rides and even a fully functioning merry go round! The equipment is all very evenly spaced and didn't have that "squashed together" feeling that some play centres have.


For toddlers, there is a small climbing area (under 4 years only) and also a fully padded play pit, ideal for crawlers or new walkers.

Eat
Within close view of the play maze is the Lollipops Playland Cafe, with plenty of seating areas so mums can keep an eye on their brood.


The menu is fairly priced and pretty varied in choice, with both hot and cold meals for adults and kids. What surprised me the most however, was the actual quality of the food. Although I didn't order a meal for myself, every meal that l saw leave the kitchen looked delicious, and my son's chicken nuggets and chips tasted great and was presented well.

Even better? The coffee! Too many times have I ordered a coffee at a play centre and been served up a cup of the darkest, strongest, most foul tasting liquid. The latte I ordered at Lollipops was perfect!

Anything else?
Another small touch to look forward to upon exit is a free lollipop for every child- the perfect bargaining tool for those kids not quite ready to head for home.

There are on site toilets and baby change, as well as high chairs available for little ones. And as Lollipop's is located in Cannon Hill's homemaker centre, there is plenty of free parking within close proximity to the entrance.
