Hi Mums,

I am currently on maternity leave with my first child until January next year which will be a period of 12 months. I have decided to extend my leave for a further 12 months as my workplace offers paid maternity leave for a second time (without coming back to work/mat leave would be at full-time rate) if I fall pregnant again while on leave. My question is would I then be eligible for the government parental leave again since I won't be going back to work? Or if I got a casual job elsewhere in order to pass the work test, would I get the government pay if Centrelink knows I'm already on leave at my initial workplace? Has anyone done this recently?

TIA xx
