"We live in Coorparoo, it has good childcare centres around, Mott park and White Hill reserve close by. Easy access to the city and shopping centres an 10 mins bus ride to Southbank. We quite enjoy our suburb!" - BMG Member
This week we are focusing on 'Coorparoo', which is conveniently located just 4km from the CBD, and with its own train station and frequent bus services, is public transport heaven if you need to commute to the City.

Parks and Playgrounds
There are a number of small parks, playgrounds and dog parks hidden around this awesome suburb, here's one of our favourites:
Majestic Park
Majestic Park, Coorparoo
A fairy tale themed park that is a firm favourite with local families; especially on the weekend. Although the park itself is not huge, with a small play area in each corner, there is still plenty for kids to do. Play equipment includes a wooden castle cubby and dragon drawbridge, swings, slides, climbing wall and dragon footprint walking trail, as well as a read along, fairy tale display.
A long pathway encircles the park, perfect for bike riding and there is plenty of grassland for ball games and picnics. The park also includes a BBQ, ammenities block, shaded picnic areas and on street parking a plenty!
Address: Majestic Park, Corner of Eva and Pelham Streets, Coorparoo 4151.

Leisure
Coorparoo Mall
Within Coorparoo you have two main shopping centres - the Coorparoo Shopping Precinct and the Coorparoo Mall, which feature popular supermarkets Woolworths and Coles, as well as various other small shops, cafes and ammenities.
You can check out a full list of what stores are within the suburb
here , however if you can't find what you're after, you also have
Carindale's Westfield Centre or Brisbane's CBD within the local area.
Also due to open sometime this year is Coorparoo Square, a development that will feature a 10 screen Dendy cinema and an Aldi supermarket, as well as various other specialty retailers and coffee shops.
