Celebrate YOU this Mother's Day
When my husband asks me what I want for Mother's Day, my top three answers are always:
1. Sleep In.
2. Break from any housework and cooking
3. Not to be asked any questions about what I want to do for Mother's Day, and just have it all organised for me.
But I think that I need to aim higher. Mums have a really hard job, and we deserve to be celebrated and spoiled.
Here are some ideas for what you can do for Mother's Day in Brisbane this year. Mother's Day this year falls on Sunday 9th May.

- Ask for your kids to make you homemade mother's day gifts. Also ask your partner. I would love to see what my husband comes up with!
- Have your family create a pancake making station for the everyone to enjoy. Include different toppings like fruit, cream, sprinkles, nuts and of course, champagne on the side
- Enjoy an at home 'spa'. A two hour retreat at home, complete with face mask, coffee scrub and a massage. And an uninterrupted shower. All set up by someone that is not you
- Send your family to the local park and head to your local shopping centre instead, where you can wander the aisles without children in tow
If you know of any other events in your local area, please share in the comments. We would love to hear from you!
