Discover the stories behind some of Brisbane’s most iconic and rarely opened buildings during Brisbane Open House 2026 from 18 to 19 July 2026.
Celebrating the city's history, architecture, and design, this popular annual event offers a unique chance to explore hidden spaces, heritage landmarks, and remarkable modern buildings usually closed to the public.
The 2026 program will feature more than 90 buildings across the city, including over 20 brand-new spaces to explore. Visitors can also enjoy exclusive access to private homes and an expanded program of walking tours, offering even more opportunities to uncover Brisbane’s architecture, history, and hidden gems.

This year, you can start planning your visit when the 2026 program is released on 15 June 2026.
While the buildings are the centrepiece, the backbone of the event is its volunteers. Volunteers are the friendly faces that help make the event such a great experience. From welcoming visitors and helping people find their way, to sharing information about buildings and assisting with tours, volunteers play a big part in bringing Brisbane Open House to life.
It’s also a fun opportunity to meet new people, explore some of Brisbane’s most fascinating spaces, and be part of a community that loves architecture, history, and design.
