Welcome to another article in our 'Useful Lists' series - this week on the discussion group we wanted to find out what you thought were some of 'Brisbane's Most Child-Friendly Gyms and Fitness Facilities'?

Our lists are continually updated and cover the best places for kids and parents across Brisbane, however, we are aware that this list doesn't include all the great services on offer, but it's a great place to start! Remember to always do your own research and make sure the service meets your personal needs.

Fernwood Fitness, Various Locations Fitting in trips to the gym when you have young children can often be challenging to say the least, so Fernwood Fitness have equipped some of their gyms with kids play rooms and qualified childcare staff, so little ones can have playtime whilst mum gets a workout.

The Brisbane Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Brisbane mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!

Be in Blossom Baby Friendly Pilates
Be In Blossom, Chermside Can't find anyone to look after bub whilst you head to your exercise class? Simple! Take them along with you! Be in Blossom is a fitness facility that specialise in baby-friendly pilates for mums and their little ones, so not only will you get your workout, you may meet some mummy and baby pals at the same time! The facility is also fully equipped with spaces for 'parking' prams, a parents room and various evening classes so you can work around your partner's timetable.

Newmarket Pool, Newmarket Newmarket Olympic pool is child-friendly in every way. Not only are they home to a 25m heated kids pool, toddler pool and miniature water park with slides, but they also provide an on-site creche for any mums who are looking to take part in their fitness classes. The creche hours run from 8:30am-11:30am and is just $5 for 1.5hours. Once you have finished your workout, why not take your little one for a swim or for a run around on the on-site playground?

Go Mum Group Fitness
Go Mum Group Fitness, Enoggera & Arana Hills Go Mum Group Fitness is paving the way when it comes to "child friendly" exercise, not only are both of their locations fully equipped with feeding and changing facilities, but Go Mum also invite you to bring children of any age along to their classes too - that's right, any age! Children can sit and watch the class from the sidelines, explore the toy box and enjoy morning tea or even join in with mum!

J-Fit Australia Mums and Baby Class
J-Fit Australia, Loganholme Did you know that your pram is an awesome piece of exercise equipment? J-Fit does! Every Wednesday from 10:00am-10:45am, J-Fit run a mum and baby class at Shailer Pioneer Park. Little ones can help mum work out and enjoy the fresh air from the comfort of their own pushchair, and it's also a great social activity to help you meet other mums. Even better? The session costs just $5! What a bargain!
My Fit Tribe does small group training, personal training and outdoor group classes. The best part about boot camps is there are qualified baby sitters available that is included in the cost of the class. This opens up the class to toddlers and older kids, not sure babies. If you aren't sure how you will go, there is a one week free trial available. With fully qualified pre and post natal trainers, these classes will suit any fitness level.

The Asian Street Food tour of Brisbane will introduce you to a variety of delicious Asian food, including Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino.
This neighbourhood fitness facility has it all. Tennis courts, classes, gym equipment and a heated lap pool, all included in the membership. But what makes it child friendly, is that there is an onsite creche. It is a lovely creche with a gated play area with a cubby and lots of toys. Unlimited weekly access to the creche is only $5 on top of your membership which is amazing. Or it is just $5 per visit. They are also open to having bubs in the pool with you.

In 2019 Gymboree Play & Music Underwood will be FREE for all babies aged 6 months or under! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your baby to socialise with other young babies and do tummy time together!
Pure Tennis Ferny Hills is a sporting centre with a difference. Not only do they offer lessons for school-aged children and adults, but they also have a fantastic program for children aged 3 and 4 years old.
