Community Celebration 2026: Free Family Fun at RPAC

Community Celebration 2026 will now be held indoors and undercover on Saturday, 16 May 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) in Cleveland.

This free community event offers an exciting, festive and interactive afternoon of entertainment, market stalls and activities, hosted by STAR Community Services and Volunteering Redlands. Everyone in the community is invited to attend, with free entry for all.



Community Celebration 2026 brings people together to connect with their community, enjoy live entertainment and create special memories with children, parents and grandparents. Attendees can explore a great mix of community and market stalls, enjoy face painting, take part in chess competitions and experience many more family-friendly activities. The event also features volunteer awards to show appreciation for local volunteers.



From 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, guests can enjoy a diverse line-up of live performances for all ages in the comfort of the RPAC Auditorium, including:
• Redlands Sporting Club Pipe Band
• Welcome to Country
• U3A Performance Group
• Johnny the Jester
• Stilt Walkers
• Giant Bubble performers
• Birkdale Men’s Shed Group
• Strictly Dance Group
• UQ Taiko Japanese drummers
• Here’s to Life performance

Families will find plenty to keep children entertained. Kids’ activities include face painting, a bouncy castle and a petting zoo, all available for a gold coin donation only.



Visitors can also enjoy bustling market stalls, take part in chess competitions with Australian Chess Team Captain and FIDE Master Jack Rodgers, and join in the Volunteer of the Year Awards, which recognise and celebrate the contributions of local volunteers.

The event will conclude with a stunning indoor laser show!
