Get ready to swap your car keys for comfy shoes and your everyday outfit for your wildest costume. The Gold Coast Ramble @ Main Beach is back on 19 April 2026, and this year it's bigger, brighter and more meaningful than ever.

Hosted by the Gold Coast Rotary Club, the Ramble is best described as a car rally on foot. Teams of costumed participants will explore the parks, malls and streets of beautiful Main Beach, following clues to locate 20–30 checkpoints in just 2 hours.

Along the way, you'll solve puzzles, pose for photos, tackle fun challenges and discover hidden stories of the area - all while raising vital funds to support survivors of domestic violence.

What Is the Gold Coast Ramble?
Think of the Ramble as the Gold Coast's very own Amazing Race - only friendlier, more colourful and open to everyone.

At the start line, your team will receive your first clues. From there, you'll navigate your way around Main Beach, searching for 20–30 checkpoints. At each checkpoint, you'll use a specially designed App to download a challenge linked to your immediate surroundings.

These challenges may highlight:
• Local heritage and history
• The area's natural environment
• Unique street art
• Current infrastructure and landmarks

This year, the App also features team photos and videos, so you can capture the laughter, costumes and crazy moments as they unfold.

Fun for All Ages and Abilities
The Gold Coast Ramble is an outdoor event open to all levels of fitness. You set the pace - sprint between checkpoints or take your time and enjoy the scenery.

Family friendly: Kids will love the clues, costumes and interactive activities at many of the checkpoints.
Wheelchair friendly: The route and challenges are designed so that everyone can join in the fun.
All fitness levels welcome: You don't need to complete every checkpoint to have a great day out or be in the running for prizes.

For families with younger children, the focus is on laughter and exploration rather than speed. For those who are more competitive, finishing all the checkpoint challenges in 2 hours will test your strategy, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Prizes, Costumes and Friendly Competition
While the Ramble is all about fun and fundraising, there are plenty of rewards along the way:
Random draw prizes - just by taking part, your team could win.
Best costume prizes - the more creative, colourful or quirky your outfit, the better your chances!
Ramble Trophy - Rotary teams will battle it out for bragging rights and the coveted Ramble Trophy.

Start planning now:

Gather a team of up to 6 people - friends, family, colleagues, neighbours.
Brainstorm your theme and costumes - superheroes, movie characters, retro, you name it.
Get ready for a fun-filled morning discovering Main Beach as you’ve never seen it before!

Walking for a Powerful Cause
Beyond the costumes and challenges lies a deeper purpose. The 2026 Gold Coast Ramble is an opportunity to stand with survivors of domestic violence.

This year's event supports RizeUp, a charity dedicated to helping victims of domestic and family violence rebuild their lives. Your team is encouraged to seek sponsorship donations in the lead-up to the event, with every dollar making a real difference.

To recognise your fundraising efforts, each team can also earn extra event points:
• Every $10 donation = 1 additional event point
• Up to a maximum of 100 points per team (that’s $1,000 in sponsorship)

Ask friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor your team. The more you raise, the more points you earn - and the more support we collectively provide to those who need it most.

Over the past four years, Gold Coast Rotary has raised over $30,000 through the Ramble, with top teams securing maximum charity points. By signing up this year, you can help push that total even higher.
