An exciting new local conscious shopping event - Handmade + Plant-Based Market - is taking over The Old Museum on Sunday, 24th August 2025. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a fun-filled day of conscious shopping and thoughtful buying across 2 dedicated market spaces! Register for your FREE ticket here.

Held from 10 am to 3 pm, the Handmade + Plant Based Market brings together a curated showcase of locally produced, high-quality products crafted by fabulous Brisbane artists, artisans and creators.

This special one-day event is about learning and committing to better practices and reducing the amount we consume. There will be a focus on slowly made and recognising that sustainability is a journey for both designers and consumers.

Studio 1 will have 100% plant-based and vegan products, while Studio 2 will host handmade products with a focus on slowly made and made with intention.

Come along and invest in quality pieces and support small businesses that aim to tread lightly on the planet with sustainable and ethical practices.

Meander through the slow living and plant-based market spaces and get inspired by a range of kinder products and services for a slower lifestyle.

Cost: Register for your FREE ticket here or $5 at the door. Kids under 12 are FREE.
Parking: Please note that there is no onsite patron parking at The Old Museum for events. Check with the RNA or King Street parking stations for rates and information. There is also metered street parking in Gregory Terrace, King Street and surrounding side streets.
Public Transport: The Old Museum is located 0.6 km north of the Fortitude Valley Railway station along Brunswick Street. Bus stop 7 is located directly outside of The Old Museum. For details of public transport to the venue, click here.
