PCYC Queensland is the largest gymnastics’ provider in the state. As well as offering gymnastics, tumbling, sport and other recreational activities, PCYC also holds Kinderplay classes. Kinderplay is a gymnastics program that is unstructured and casual.
Kinderplay are open free play classes held weekly, a couple of days a week, that are ideal for 9months to 4.5 years. It gives kids the opportunity to use the gym equipment in a fun and no stress way.

I absolutely love to take my 18 month old and 4 year old. They both have equipment they can use and play with. It is inside in a huge space so ideal for a hot or rainy day. The play equipment includes:
Cars and toys
Soft play and building blocks
Tunnels, Slides and climbing equipment.
My 18 month old loves nothing more than to jump, climb and run, so it is great for him to let loose in a safe and soft environment. And my four year old loves to test himself on the balance beams and climb the climbing frames.
Each week is a fun, movement-based learning program for young children and their parent/carer. It is age based program specifically for children under five years to help develop the fundamental movement skills needed for an active and healthy life.
KinderPlay is a casual class, you do need to book ahead right now due to COVID. You can have a free trial before joining the PCYC. Joining fees are $20 per child and each class is $10 per child.
Another great thing about these classes is the opportunity to make friends in your local area. Everyone sits down for morning tea at the same time so it is a good way to relax and have a nice conversation.
For more information on KinderPlay and to find your local PCYC see here. I go to the one at Sandgate and could not recommend it enough.
Can you recommend any other gymnastics programs? Please let us know and we can check them out.
