Celebrate Make Music Day With Free Live Music performances Across Australia on 21 June 2026.

Sing, play, dance or hum your way to International Make Music Day where everyone is invited to one giant worldwide jam session where everyone is invited to join in.



Held every year on 21 June (coincidentally also the longest day of the year), Make Music Day transforms streets, parks, cafes and public spaces into live music stages filled with singing, dancing and feel-good vibes.

The day brings together iconic venues and unexpected spaces, with diverse artists representing a wide range of musical genres, cultures and local scenes, transforming caf e9s, bars, galleries, bookstores and public spaces into live stages and dance floors.

Born in France as F eate de la Musique , the celebration has grown into a global event enjoyed in more than 100 countries - including Australia. From local bands, local artists and choirs to ukulele groups, buskers and first-time performers, music lovers of all ages come together to share the joy of live music in outdoor music events for the whole family.



Most events are completely free and anyone can take part. Whether you 2019re performing, listening or simply soaking up the atmosphere, Make Music Day is all about bringing communities together through the universal language and love of music.

Make Music with Brisbane Ukuleles at the Ferny Grove Bowls Club 20 Tramway St, Ferny Grove from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Melbourne
A Carnatic Conversation at Truganina Community Centre 1 Everton Rd, Truganina, Melbourne from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Adelaide
Adelaide will host over 220+ performers across 40 venues.
