Head to Mooloolaba Esplanade at 89 Mooloolaba Espl, Mooloolaba QLD 4557, on December 31, 2025, for the annual New Year's Eve gathering that draws locals and families for a bit of low-key fun. It kicks off in the late afternoon with whatever entertainment they've rustled up, keeping things free and suitable for kids who might conk out before the real action.

The fireworks are the highlight, naturally, with a family-friendly burst at 8:30pm to tide over the early birds, followed by the midnight spectacle launching from an offshore barge thats bound to light up the coastline for anyone not tucked up in bed already.
