At Playtopia in Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane, kids aged 5 to 12 can channel their inner architect by building bug hotels from April 15 to 17, 2026. Its a hands-on workshop where they discover that those wriggly garden residents are low-key MVPs, quietly boosting fruit and veggie growth without demanding a paycheck or complaining about the weather.

The Queensland Yates team runs the show with sessions at 9:30am and 11:30am each day from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th, each lasting 1.5 hours. Tickets are $12 per child, so its an affordable way to dodge screen time while picking up some eco smarts.
