A family friendly venue serving up delicious food amongst gorgeous surroundings

Organising an event that caters for the whole family can often be difficult. You need somewhere you can feel like an adult, yet also have room for the kids to let off some steam.

I have found my new go to, [link-https://sandstonepointhotel.com.au/ The ], near Bribie Island, 45 minutes north of Brisbane.

offers a variety of delectable dining options depending on your occasion. From the casual cafe, to the [link-https://sandstonepointhotel.com.au/the-oyster-shed/ Oyster Shed], serving up fish and chips daily. We recently enjoyed dining in the bistro style restaurant, however I would suggest booking as it does get busy.

If you fancy a treat to finish your meal off, the ice creamery offers delicious treats for all the family, from your classics, to out of this world candy creations.

If you are early you may be lucky enough to score a picnic table. But if you miss out, there is plenty of room to roll out your own blanket while the kids run around. There is a sand pit to keep the littlest busy, and soccer goals for those who want to run and kick a ball around.

My favourite aspect of this venue by far, is the amazing playground, which even includes a petting zoo. The area includes a farm themed fort, swings and a small rock climbing wall, giving options for a wide variety of age groups. There is an adjoining indoor games room too, to help keep the kids out of your hair.

For the adults, apart from the delicious food and drink, there is often live music and plenty of [link-https://sandstonepointhotel.com.au/entertainment-and-events/ special events] featured on the website. These include the annual Strawberry Festival or Bonfire night.
It is also worth taking some time to wander through the venue, taking in the beautiful floral arrangements and knick knacks available for purchase. This beautiful hotel is well worth the trip up and a great day out.
