Looking for Something Better Than Another Day in Front of a Screen These School Holidays?

School holidays can be a real challenge for parents.

You want your child to have fun. You want them to stay active. You want them to make friends and build confidence. But finding activities that tick all those boxes can be surprisingly difficult.

That's exactly why Dance Culture created Latin Stars, a one-day school holiday workshop designed specifically for children aged 6 to 12.

At first glance, it might look like just a dance workshop.

In reality, it's something much bigger.

More Than Just Dance

The goal of Latin Stars isn't to create professional dancers. The goal is to help children discover what they’re capable of.

Throughout the day, children are guided through a series of fun, age-appropriate Latin dance activities that encourage movement, creativity, teamwork and self-expression.

They learn new skills. They challenge themselves. They experience the satisfaction of achieving something they didn’t think they could do only a few hours earlier.

Many children arrive feeling nervous. Most leave smiling, energised and proud of themselves.

Building Confidence Through Achievement

One of the most powerful ways to build confidence isn't through praise alone. It's through achievement.

When children learn a routine, master a new movement, perform in front of others or work successfully as part of a team, they gain something much more valuable than entertainment. They gain evidence that they can do hard things.

That lesson often stays with them long after the workshop ends.

Active, Engaging and Social

In a world where many school holiday activities involve screens, Latin Stars offers something refreshingly different. Children spend the day moving, laughing, interacting and working together.

The workshop encourages positive social interaction and teamwork while providing a welcoming environment where children can be themselves.

No previous dance experience is required. In fact, many participants have never danced before.

The workshop is designed to be accessible, supportive and enjoyable for beginners.

Every Workshop Is Different

One of the reasons children enjoy returning to Latin Stars is that each workshop is unique. Every school holiday program features different music, fresh choreography and new creative challenges.

This means returning participants continue learning and growing while experiencing something new every time.

What Parents Can Expect

Each Latin Stars workshop is limited to a maximum of 30 participants, allowing instructors to provide plenty of individual attention and support.

The workshop runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm, followed by a parent presentation and certificate celebration from 2:00pm to 2:15pm.

Workshops are held in air-conditioned comfort at Dance Culture in Annerley.

The cost is $125 per child, per workshop.

Parents are welcome to enrol their child in one workshop or both.
