The Sustainable Brisbane Festival is Brisbane's greenest day out. Join in the relaxed, feel-good celebration on 24 May 2026 in the inner city where sustainability meets live music, great food and community spirit.



Held in the lush surrounds of Roma Street Parkland, the festival transforms eco-living into something fun, practical and inspiring, with market stalls, hands-on workshops, garden and waste-reduction ideas, family activities and plenty of local flavours to enjoy.

Delivered by Brisbane Sustainability Agency in partnership with Brisbane City Council, the event invites locals to explore simple ways to live more sustainably — proving that helping the planet can be easy, social and genuinely enjoyable.



Activities include:

- the Eco Kids Zone (sponsored by Optus ) features creative activities and interactive games, storytelling and nature-inspired learning,
- multiple stages with informative presentations such as composting and worm farming, gut health and fermented food.
- Market stalls packed with ethical goodies
- Live music and relaxed picnic vibes
- Gardening, composting and low-waste living tips
- Delicious local eats (because sustainability works up an appetite)
- Kids’ activities that sneak learning into playtime
- Dog-friendly spaces for your four-legged sustainability assistant

Fan favourites Bluey and Bingo will even be stopping by to say hello to the kids.

The festival is an all-day (from 9am to 3pm) drop-in style event — meaning you can arrive anytime during the day and explore markets, workshops, talks, food stalls and family activities at your own pace. To take part in this ethical event, head to the Roma Street Parklands at 1 Parkland Boulevard, Brisbane City.
