Let your little monkeys swing while you sip lattes in the sunshine

This little gem of a cafe in Greenslopes, is the perfect antidote to a mid week slump or the perfect excuse to head out to breakfast on the weekend and bring both kids and furry friend in tow.

Monkey Bar has it all as far as a family friendly cafe in Brisbane goes. Located next to beautiful parklands, the al fresco dining area overlooks both the football fields, as well as a playground where the kids can 'monkey' around while you sit back with your coffee and a chat.




Or if you would prefer to remain inside, there is also a children's play area upstairs for the mini monkeys to play where you don't have to worry about them running off too far. Perfect for little crawlers.



Whether you are hungry for breakfast or lunch, you can head to Monkey Bar for your foodie fix. Breakfast for the adults include salmon bagels, veggie fritters and pancakes. Breakfasts for the kids includes mini fruit bowls, bacon and egg on toast or pancakes.

You can also enjoy a modern Australian lunch and treat your kids to a mini pasta bolognaise, ham and cheese toastie, fish and chips, beef burger or chicken and chips. There is also a range of drinks with milkshakes, smoothies and of course, coffee!



Looking for your next Mothers Group meet up? Monkey Bar regularly hosts kids mornings for mini monkeys. For kids aged 2-6 years, they offer a kids package which includes coffee (for the big monkey), a kids sized drink, story time, colouring and an art workshop. A great way to entertain while you sit back and enjoy talking with your friends.



Another great option when visiting Monkey Bar, is to get your food or coffee to go, and have a picnic in the park right next door! If you are anything like me, and have a particularly rambunctious toddler, this works out nicely as I don't have to worry about him unleashing on some poor unsuspecting diners.
