Families are spoilt for choice for events this summer.

Moreton Bay’s bumper community events program continues in 2023 with over 50 family friendly events on the annual calendar. There is something for every family including markets, workshops, outdoor movies, music and so much more.
 
Presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT),  just some of the upcoming events from January to March 2023 include:



Music in the Park Scarborough
Date: Thursday 26th January
Time: 1pm – 6pm  
Location: Scarborough Beach Park  

Gather your family and friends for a sunny day by the bay at Scarborough Beach Park. From 1pm – 6pm, families can enjoy an arvo of live music and free family fun for a cracker day down by the water.
 
Australia Day fireworks on Bribie Island
Date: Thursday 26th January
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Location: Brennan Park

Come on over to Bribie Island and celebrate Australia Day by the water. From 5pm – 7:30pm, enjoy an evening of festivities and free family fun, followed with fireworks from two different locations to finish the day.


 
Moreton Bay Region Lunar New Year
Date: Saturday 4th February
Time: 3pm – 8pm
Location: Caboolture Town Square

The Moreton Bay Region Lunar New Year event brings a vibrant celebration of the East to Caboolture again in 2023. It is sure to be a jam-packed, family fun evening to celebrate the start of Chinese New Year.

Splash and Play
Date: Saturday 18th February
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Mill Water Park, Petrie

Cool down on a hot summers day at Splash and Play at the Mill Water Park. Your little ones will have hours of fun on the splash pad, under the water bucket and at the adventure playground. Mums will love listening to the musical entertainment, browsing market stalls and selecting delicious meals and snacks from food trucks surrounding the park.



Moreton Kids Festival
Date: Sunday 12th March
Time: 8am – 3pm
Location: Pine Rivers Park

Moreton Kids Festival celebrates the wide-eyed wonderment and enthusiasm of youth with a program full of family-friendly entertainment. Whatever your child’s passion, the Moreton Kids Festival guarantees to have them bursting with excitement with unlimited fun in five amazing worlds.
 
Music in the Park Griffin
Date: Saturday 18th March
Time: 1pm – 5pm
Location: Ultramarine Parade, Griffin

Music in the Park Morayfield promises to be a fun afternoon out for the whole family. Pack the picnic blanket and enjoy a beautiful spring time afternoon in the park filled with family friendly live music by talented musicians from around Moreton Bay Region.
 
Teddy Bears Picnic
Date: Thursday 30th March
Time: 9am – 12pm
Location: John Oxley Reserve

Pack your teddies and picnic blankets and mark the start of spring with a Teddy Bears Picnic in Pine Rivers Park.  Get ready to sing, dance, listen to stories at a jam-packed morning of family friendly entertainment.
