Halloween weekend is fast approaching and boy is there tonnes of kids events happening in Brisbane! So dust off your witches hat, grab the face paints and get ready for what is sure to be spooktacular weekend for you and the family.

Augmented Reality Hunt, Brookside Head on over to Brookside for a virtual reality ghost hunt! This unique and captivating experience will bring Halloween characters to life on your phone before your very eyes and there's a free goody bag for every hunter! A Night at the Museum, Queensland Museum Dress in your scariest costume and explore the museum after hours, brave the creepy crawlies, experience gruesome science and end the night with a spooky disco! Kids will get to make their own slime and purchase their own edible bugs after the event for both a trick and a treat. Friday 28th October, 5pm-8pm. Cost: $15 per ticket, kids under 3 go free
Halloween Disco Nights, Bay Play Cleveland Boogy on down to Cleveland and party the night away at Bay Play. With prizes to be won, Halloween themed food to be purchased, as well as free face painting, sit back and relax whilst the kids have a blast. Friday 28th October and Saturday 29th October. 5.30pm-7.30pm.
Free Haunted Hunt, Redbank Plaza Search the centre for hints and clues and when you find them you will be able to watch the friendly, life sized Ghosts, Ghouls and Goblins appear before your eyes! Halloween Skate Party, Albany Creek Get dressed in your best Halloween outfit and head on down to Skateaway Albany Creek for a spooktastic skate party, there's even a prize for the best dressed! Friday 28th October. 7:00pm-9.30pm. Cost: Usual charges apply

Bats at the Black Swamp, Cleveland Get up, close and personal with some of the Redlands batty friends this Halloween! There will be plenty to see and do including wildlife presentations, a sausage sizzle, baby bats to see and in true Halloween tradition masks and wings to make and wear! Spooky Halloween Cupcake Class, Bake Boss- North Lakes A cooking class with a difference! Learn how to make and decorate your very own spooky halloween cupcakes at Bake Boss. All tools, equipment and ingredients will be provided by Bake Boss and your little one will get to take their creations home with them. Dayscare, Beenleigh Historical Village A spooky daytime event suitable for all ages, although children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Follow the map to discover ghosts, zombies, vampires and monsters who will scare, excite & entertain you and see who can complete the hunt first! Dress up in your spookiest costume and join in the fun! Haunted Hunt, Logan Central Plaza Another spooky reality experience where Halloween characters magically come to life. You will see pumpkins pop, hats hover and many more unique and captivating characters appear on your phone before your very eyes at Logan Central Plaza. Sounds in the Park- Thrills and Chills, Roma Street Parklands Join the musicians from the Brisbane Brass Music Association for a Halloween concert not to be missed! Dress up in the your scariest get up and enjoy an array of your favourite spooky tunes including Ghostbusters, The Addams Family and The Munsters plus many more at this very special Sounds in the Park. Hocus Pocus Halloween, Bulimba Memorial Park Celebrate the Halloween festivities down at Bulimba Memorial Park with a day full of spooky activities, haunted disco and a fancy dress competition! Monday 31st October 3.00pm-6.00pm.
Spooktacular Market Day, Bonnyview Hotel, Bald Hills A must attend for any Harry Potter fans out there! A market day especially dedicated to both Halloween and our favourite boy wizard! Potter themed stalls will be set up in the car park and there's even a mini "Diagon Alley" inside the hotel. Come dressed as your favourite witch or wizard for this family day out and even meet a few familiar faces from the books along the way! Sunday 30th October 10.00am-3.00pm. Cost: Free
2016 Halloween Express, Roma Street Station All aboard the Halloween Express for a spooky night time steam train journey through the river city! Dress up in your scariest costume and travel in the vintage carriages on this beautiful old locomotive. Journeys depart from Roma Street Station and last an hour before returning, bookings are essential. Saturday 29th October, various times. Cost: Adult-$30 Child-$20 Children under 3 are free
The Haunted Ranch, Tingalpa The Haunted Ranch is an authentic American Halloween Home Yard Haunt experience at Tingalpa and this will be the 9th year this hugely successful event has been running. This impressive display, as well as hundreds of decorations, also features sound effects, spooky lighting and fog machines. Kids are welcome to trick or treat and view the display however you may want to attend with little ones before night fall as the displays can look pretty spooky in the dark. Halloween High Jinks at the Gardens, Mt Coot-tha Always wondered about the history of Halloween and where it all began? Find out all the answers at this one of a kind Halloween event. Search for spooky plants among the gardens and create your very own pumpkin lantern to take home. Monday 31st October 4.00pm-5.30pm
Brisbane Ghost tours What better way to celebrate Halloween then by joining in on one of the infamous Brisbane Ghost Tours? The company offers a range of different walking tours in and around Brisbane, which range from the mild to the eye wateringly scary and even better? They introduce many more child friendly tours at Halloween time- the Toowong Cemetery, South Brisbane Cemetery and Nundah Cemetery walks are all suitable for kids 5 years and older!
