A list of classes for kids to learn to cook or bake. Or both!

Do you have a budding Jamie Oliver or Nigella Lawson in your house? Maybe you just really hate cooking yourself and would like someone else to help out in the kitchen.

Cooking is a wonderful activity for kids to participate in. It is a hands on, can build confidence and give kids practical skills for life. If you want your kids to experience the joys of cooking in an environment where you don't have to clean up afterwards, then we have found some of the best places in Brisbane that has cooking classes just for the kids.

The highly regarded Come and Cook offers core cooking skills to small groups of kids and teens in a commercial class kitchen. They run weekly cooking classes during the school term and workshops in the school holidays. Each class has a fun theme and different recipes, kitchen skills and cooking methods to try out. Come and Cook also offers kid's parties for a unique experience.

Kitchen Confidence Cookery Studio holds weekly Saturday morning classes for kids six years and older, where kids learn to bake, roast, slice and create a three course menu with dessert. Kids get to take home a printed copy of the recipes and eat everything they make. They also offer school holiday workshops and birthday parties.

How does the sound of freshly baked biscuits sound to you? How about if you get them made by your very own child? Sounds like heaven! Cutie Pies Baking School children will learn basic cooking techniques and terminology used in the kitchen and be proud to take home their very own creations they have made themselves. Cutie Pies offers classes and parties. Some of the upcoming classes include gingerbread houses and snow globe donuts. The age group depends on the creation.

Contemporary Cakes offers children's classes for baking and cupcake and biscuit decorating at their studio. Classes are available during school holidays and kids will need to be accompanied by an adult. They also offer private group classes on the weekends and after school hours.
