1. Redland Bay Hotel, Redland Bay

What's there: An awesome outdoor, fully fenced playground surrounded by seating areas.

Kids Menu: Kids club menu with a variety of options priced at $9. Add a drink and a dessert for an extra $3 and all kids meals come with a kids club activity pack.

2. The Red Lion, Moorooka

What's there: Some of the best pub food in Brisbane as well as a newly built indoor play area for the kids.

Kids Menu: All the kid's favourites - fish & chips, pizza, spag bol and nuggets, priced at $10.50 and includes a free soft drink and ice cream.

3. Izba Espresso, Newport

What's there? Large outdoor play area with climbing frame, slides and wobbly bridge- all built on sand and within close view of the eating area. The cafe is open for brekky and lunch 7 days a week.

Kids Menu: This place has a great kids menu and prices start at just $5.

4. Everton Park Hotel, Everton Park

What's there? Awesome indoor play area fully equipped with arcade games, games consoles and even a couple of small rides, as well as an outdoor playground.

Kids Menu: Various options priced at $9.95 which also includes a drink and ice cream.

5. Birds and Bees Cafe, Everton Hills

What's there: Perfect for brekky and lunch, little ones can enjoy the fully fenced play area, chalkboards, toys and miniature tables and chairs.

Kids Menu: Prices start from $6 and options include meals such as 'Ham and Cheese Toastie' and the 'Mini Brekky Roll.'

6. The Monkey Bar Cafe, Greenslopes

What's there: The outdoor seating overlooks a small playground with climbing frames, slides and modern seesaw, plus a large grassy area perfect for ball games.

Kids Menu: An awesome 'Mini Monkeys Menu' serving up a range of delicious meals, kids are sure to find something they'll enjoy and with prices starting at just $5, it won't break the bank.

7. Home Store Cafe, Ashgrove

What's there: This quirky little cafe is adjoined to a homewares store and is popular for serving up delicious brekkies and lunch. There is also a small playroom to entertain the kids whilst mum can enjoy a coffee.

Kids Menu: The kid's menu is slightly restricted with only 3 breakfast options available, however, lunch looks a little more promising with 2 hot food options and a range of different sandwiches. Kids menu prices start from $6.90.

8. Yeronga RSL, Yeronga

What's there: Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, the Yeronga RSL offers family-friendly dining with an on-site, indoor play area, perfect for keeping kids busy under the watchful eye of parents.

Kids Menu:'Little members' can chow down on goodies such as sausage and chips, pasta bolognese and steak and chips- all for just $7, which also includes a small drink.

9. Chapter IV, Paddington

What's there: Serving up delicious brekky and brunch, reviews have said that Chapter IV is the most child-friendly cafe in this area. Plenty of room for prams and a designated children's playroom, complete with a selection of toys.

Kids Menu: With options for both breakfast and lunch, the children's menu (although limited), sounds delicious and with prices starting from $7, is easy on the purse strings!

10. Beans on the Green, Bardon

What's there: An assortment of large toys to keep little ones busy whilst parents get their caffeine fix, including games, activity tables and a children's play kitchen. Check out a full review here.

Kids Menu: There is no specific children's menu and the food on offer is limited to toasted sandwiches, pastries and snacks from the fridge so you may need to bring little ones a packed lunch.

11. Rose and Edward, Windsor

What's there: An awesome brekky and brunch menu plus a children's play corner fully equipped with books, games and toys.

Kids Menu: There are four options on the kid's menu to choose from, french toast, toasties, fruit and yoghurt and a bowl of 'chippies', prices start from $5.

12. Mango Hill Tavern

What's there: Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Mango Hill Tavern has a huge menu and a brilliant indoor and outdoor play area, which are fully fenced for peace of mind.

Kids Menu: The kid's menu here is awesome and jam-packed with a variety of meals such as spaghetti bolognaise, grilled chicken salad, pizza and even child-sized steak and chips! Each kids meal will set you back $9.90 and this includes a drink and an ice cream or Zooper Duper!

13. Bellbowrie Tavern, Bellbowrie

What's there: The Bellbowrie Tavern prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere and have created an indoor play space, which includes a brightly coloured, tunnel playground to keep little ones entertained.

Kids Menu: All kids meals are $9 (which includes a drink) and there are so many dishes to choose from that even the fussiest of eaters will be happy!

14. The Gap Tavern, The Gap

What's there: Kids can enjoy an outdoor playground, arcade games and movies, as well as face painting every Friday and Saturday night!

Kids Menu: 'Pepe's Club 4 Kids' menu is $9 and includes a meal, side and drink and there's plenty to choose from!

15 Carina Leagues Club, Carina

What's there: Home to the Kids Safari Club, Carina Leagues Club is the perfect place to dine out with the family. As well as being able to play on the outdoor playground, as part of the club, kids will also enjoy a range of activities including painting, dress up, playing on the Xbox and loads more.

Kids Menu: With a great selection to choose from, kids meals are a bargain at $8.50!

16. Victoria Park Golf Club

What's there: Victoria Park Golf Club is not only home to an awesome putt-putt course that the kids will love, but also a huge outdoor playground! The playground consists of a large wooden climbing frame, climbing nets, a slide, rock climbing wall and various imaginative play areas.

Kids Menu: The kid's meals sound just as delicious as the adult mains and with 3 different pizzas, fish, chicken and burgers, there's sure to be something everyone will love. Prices start from $12.

17. The Tingalpa Hotel, Tingalpa

What's there: The Tingalpa Hotel caters for the whole family with their outdoor playground and indoor kids area, perfect for keeping children occupied.

Kids Menu: The menu covers all the usual 'pub grub' options that kids love and all come at a cost of $9.90, the best bit is that this also includes a kids activity pack, which is stocked with an activity book, colouring pencils, stickers and a small toy.

18. The Grand View Hotel, Cleveland

What's there: Not only does the Grand View Hotel offer up lots of tasty grub, there's also a small children's playground in the outdoor eating area. Based on the sand, kids can enjoy the climbing frame and slide all within the watchful eye of mum and dad. There's also a table tennis table to occupy older kids.

Kids Menu: Kids meals are slightly higher in price at $12, which doesn't include any extras, however, the portions are great and the food is delicious.

What's there: A relaxed family-friendly atmosphere and a great playground for the kids
